Ages ago, when my first printer (a multi-function HP) started having problems and I switched to single use items, I also bought a Canon Imageclass multi-function that's small enough to sit on a file cabinet. I use it primarily for copying and used to use it to print confirmations, invoices, etc. while printing docs on other printers. It's probably at least 15 years old and still working well, BUT it's never been used to print doc packages. Don't know about those other Canon printers, but this one just isn't designed for that much print volume. It's great for what it does, but that's about it. I have no idea if that might be a contributing factor, but it's always a critical consideration for us.
[This reminded me that when I replaced my last laptop, I never found usable drivers for it, so I can no longer use it to print at all. (I quit printing out confirmations about 2 Smartphones ago... ) I should still try to get that done someday, though.]
