Question for MD Signing Agents
Posted by  JerryhFL of FL on 9/12/21 3:22am Msg #635073
I completed a seller assignment closing in July for a title company located in Greenbelt, Maryland. I checked the Maryland records the property transfer took place on the day I completed the closing.

I have had several discussions with the title company and they always say they would check their A/P report and send the check within a couple of days. We know how that goes!!

What I am trying to find is the department within the State of Maryland who regulates title companies. I emailed the Maryland Real Estate commission and was informed they do not regulate title companies, only agents/brokers.

If anyone has a name or department please let me know.

Thank you in advance.
