It’s a pretty grey area. There is a reason many POAs are not accepted with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as any elder law attorney will tell you. Is he aware of what he is signing? “father will just be signing” is a red flag to me— does this mean that he won’t be speaking? Are there other children and are they aware of the “decision” their father is making?—or is this daughter “coercing” Dad to sign? |
