Yes, I've worked with Mortgage Connect and their alter-ego, Inspire Closing Services. During the pandemic shutdown, they always met my fees and paid promptly. I worked with them often back then. Some people complain of not getting paid. They require invoicing. Once invoice is received, they pay within 2 weeks.
Nowadays, however, the offers I see from them are ridiculously low: Just this morning, $70 for a refi with scan backs. If memory serves, they have large packages with approximately 12 notarizations.
This morning, I received an email from them addressed to Dear Valued Vendors which read: "Please ensure that you have properly dated the Right to Cancel. We are receiving feedback that this document is being missed frequently. Please double check all dates and signatures prior to leaving the closing table."
I couldn't stop myself! I just had to respond: "Dear Mortgage Connect:
Professional fees generate professional, impeccable signings. Anything less than a professional fee … be prepared to encounter missed signatures, missed initials and/or missed dates as signing agents accepting those low fees don’t have time to double check their work. They have to rush to the next low-fee signing(s) to try to make the same fee that the professional signing agent earns in one (1) assignment.
The old adage holds true: You get what you pay for.
(just my humble, professional opinion)" Perhaps I should've added: Moreover, they may not be familiar with docs and/or don't care.
I don't expect a response and they surely recognize the truth in my message. IMO, they won't change. Just had to let 'em know what I think of their insultingly low offers.
