Court compensation
Posted by KellyG/CA of CA on 2/12/25 10:13pm Msg #650116
I was contacted by an attorney recently regarding some notarizations I did. It was for an elderly person; a POA and a Deed. The person helping the signer with some transactions whited out and copied my acknowledgement (I had to attach one separately as the wording wasn't CA compliant) and used it to steal a property from the signer. Anyway, I supplied copies of the journal entries to the attorney as requested. But know he wants me to testify in court. With drive time it will be about 4 hours of my time. I don't know what I can request compensation wise from this attorney. Anyone know if I can. Naturally I want to. Thanks in advance!!
