If possible, because of questions in the past, I print the DOT and riders on letter sized. This takes an extra couple of minutes, but worth it.
I'll print one set all on legal - borrower's copy.
If file is PDF its easy to print in 3 parts - all before DOT + riders is legal, all after is legal, DOT + riders is letter.
Exceptions are when instructions say "all on legal " or downloads where you print direct and can't pick and choose what to print.
