What does Eric Swalwell have to do with any of this??? This is just another example of "whataboutism".
Swalwell's involvement with a Chinese spy was years ago, and HE is the one who broke it off immediately after being told about her by the FBI. It's not like she was wearing a name tag that said "Hi, I'm a Chinese spy!" He also didn't go on TV to defend his actions, he immediately admitted his mistake and corrected it, which is what any responsible member of Congress would do.
How is that in any way similar to the situation with Gaetz? Gaetz is on a committee NOW that oversees the department investigating him; what happened with Swalwell was years ago and there's no current investigation. Also, while Swalwell would not have known that the woman was a spy, if the accusations against Gaetz are true (and I'm not saying they are), he would have known that the girl was underage.
You're comparing apples and kumquats here.
