Well, I can almost guarantee that that maid service is not paying benefits to his maids. At $10.00 an hour probably in there 2 hours, he's making $70.00.
Years ago I was a maid, and they didn't pay me travel time, OT, or anything, and had to ride with the owner. It was horrible! Sometimes in life we gotta do what we gotta do, and like anything, I learned a lot of great cleaning tips! she was obsessed and even had to take the drawers out and clean the rails!! She made a ton of money and tips and bonuses off my back, and I did all of the dirty work...stoves, toilets, mopped....She vacuumed.
He raised your fees, I can almost guess those maids are still getting paid the same, and even at a $5.00 raise, he's making money.
