This is all true and are targets (they knew that day 1), but we cannot take them all here after we spent billions training them to fight their own battles. Who is going to run their own military? That was the whole purpose of training them. If not, we could have pulled out after Bin Laden and called it a day. We stayed to help and teach them, not take them home with us like homeless puppies. We gave them financial aid, military equipment, training, we cannot do anymore, now it's their turn to fight their own war and defend their own land, not us.
The whole mission is not to be caught in the first place and defend and hold their own country. You remove those soldiers, what do they have left? 20 years of a huge expense for us and now a bunch of Aphganistan military here because they feel they deserve it, and Taliban still beheading, raping, and torturing their women and children left behind while the men who were educated in the fight and given tools are over here because the deserve it. It makes no sense. |
