She was sitting in the "white" section in the front of the bus, which was crowded, and the driver told her to move to the "colored" section - which was in the back of the bus, behind the whites. She wasn't asked to change her seat, she was ordered to move. I'm not going to argue over the exact words that were used; that's just a distraction.

My question is whether it's true that the state of Florida intends to delete any reference to segregation when teaching about Rosa Parks, and if so, what would be the point of teaching about the incident at all? That's it - nothing more than that. I have not been able to confirm that this is true, and I'm not claiming that it is true.
