She should have been locked up for what, exactly? Where was the evidence that she committed any crimes? Put it on the table, let a grand jury see it, and if she is indicted and later found guilty, she deserves to be locked up. You think you know what she did because Trump told you that's what she did. At one point, Trump was calling for ALL of his political opponents - the Clintons, Obama, Biden - to be jailed with zero evidence that they had done anything wrong. During one of the debates with Clinton, he argued that she shouldn't even have been allowed to run - again, evidence-free.

You have no idea what I think. I never said that all Republicans are MAGA. What I said is that this is what the MAGA wing of the GOP has been saying for years - and now that the shoe is on the other hoof, they're upset that anyone should jump to conclusions and convict him without due process. He'll get his due process - he and his cult of followers may not like the way it turns out, but we are a country of laws and no one is above the law. Personally, I wouldn't want to see it work any other way.
Also, he will be allowed to run - there is nothing in the Constitution that would prohibit him from running or even winning, even if he ends up in prison. There is actual precedent - look up Eugene Debs; he was a socialist who ran for President while in prison.The question is: will Trump get the nomination, and if so, can he win? |
