Politicians shouldn't take credit for things they didn't do
Posted by Moneyman/TX of TX on 7/2/23 6:45pm Msg #83011
I agree with you on this one, Mike.

And I will do so without pointing out that such things are not limited to any one political party. I wouldn't dare mention the multiple times Biden has taken credit for things Trump did (such as when Biden:
* took credit for COVID-19 vaccine http://tinyurl.com/2p92drkb
* "We (Democrats) just made surprise medical bills illegal in this country." http://tinyurl.com/mr3tfkk2
* "We (Biden-Harris Administration/Dems) created 6 million new jobs..." http://tinyurl.com/mr3tfkk2
* After only 58 days in office, "our Administration will hit 100 million COVID-19 shots administered"
http://tinyurl.com/4th77897
* or when Biden took credit for Trump’s achievement with the Quad http://tinyurl.com/4fv6ts7c )
* and many, many, more.

No, for me to point out such an obvious political game that is played by nearly all politicians of every political party might be seen as trying to give the Republicans a pass on this one. I'll say again, I agree with Mike, NO politician should take credit for things they not only didn't do, but in some cases, actually worked against. The only way to stop such things is for the people to call out any, and all, of them that do it regardless of what political party they belong to. Unfortunately, there are far too many partisan voters that are unwilling to ever admit that people on "their side" can do anything wrong. Maybe one day....
