My answers:
1. Damn proud that I served. Got me off the "Streets of San Francisco" lol, thought you might appreciate that! Actually it gave me direction.
2. Would serve again. Maybe not under someone like Johnson and Nixon again, but I would serve this country again if I could.
3. Best duty station for me was my last, the Presidio of San Francisco. Spent my days patrolling the post on both sides of the GG Bridge on a Harley Davidson with red lights and siren, arresting hippies and dope addicts. Great time! I was even appointed nuclear weapons NCOIC "in case" anything related to that ever passed through post, that was because I had the same clearance as the 6th Army CG.
4. Would have liked to make more of my service. There were a lot of things that I could have taken advantage of but was too young to know better.
All in all a good time in spite of the anti war climate.
