I've never heard the Vietnam War described so vividly and emotionally. We really do ask a lot of our 18 and 19 years olds who have to make split second decisions. It just burns me up when Mr. TV announcer rakes them over the coals as he sits in his air conditioned office with all kinds of resources at his finger tips and has hours to decide what decision should have been made.
Thank you for your service to me, my family and my country. And that goes for all the rest of you vets out there. Started my married life as a Navy wife (hubby got out after 13 years of service) and the mother-in-law of a terrific 20 year Navy retiree. |
