Where do I begin? I grew up in the US until 13. My father was an internist and cardiologist from Spain. My parents met in Canada where my mother moved after WWII from Prussia,which doesn't even exist anymore, thanks to Hitler. Let's get something straight. Canadian health care is very good. My grandfather was run over by race car and was in the hopspital several months.....NO BILLS. Get the message? In Canada we don 't have to pay for a hospital bill. Also, within one year I had two accidents. Both times I suffered severe concussions. The second time I died and was revived. I wasn't even a citizen at the time and the hospital NEVER forced my mother to pay one cent!!!! Experience here is completely different. People HAVE to PAY for any medical bill they have incurred in this country. If a person doesn't have insurance then he/ she can be turned away from a hospital even if it is an absolute emergency. When my father had his practice here in Baltimore he would give medical care to a family of five and only charge them for one person!!!! You won't see that in the US very often!! Just read up on hospitals dumping patients on Skid Row in California.
As to illegal aliens: If the politics of the US would not destroy their countires and prevent them from developing then they wouldn't be here. It is the fault of the Reagan administration, Bush (both), and the list goes on. Read up on the political policies of the US and don't research it through FOX News as it's Republican BS.
Just so you know I have lived in three countries and travelled to seven others. Get out there and open your eyes. Stop taking cruises and actually learn about a country by visiting it for more than a week and going to ten cities, then hopefully you will understand that people around the world have the same hopes and dreams as we do here. They want something better for their children than they had and they want to be understood. |
