January - when they raised their yearly subscription price once again; should note I do not use their video service nor do I use their pantry or whole foods service - I had amazon simply to buy what I wanted/needed when I needed it - mainly Green Mountain Coffee.
Anyway - I looked at everything - I can get free 2-day shipping from Walmart for orders over $35 - now I don't know about you but I can easily spend $35 at Walmart - and the service is good. I also have Sam's club for certain items so I upgraded my subscription there, which includes free shipping (subscription price $100).
So, I decided there's nothing I need or want from Amazon that I can't wait 5-9 business days for - which is still the free shipping option. There was a slight adjustment to not having 2-day delivery but we weathered that storm and I'm quite content now.. |
