I believe every century has some sort of plague that cleans the earth and rids populations of people. Those viruses and bacteria will always find a way to live so they constantly adapt to us and what we use to kill them. Antibiotics are really resistant and constantly changing because we abuse antibiotics. Even in Chernobyl with the nuclear disaster, they still survived.
When we discovered the America's Europeans brought over Measles, Smallpox and a whole variety of illness that wiped out thousands of indigenous people. Horrible...I wouldn't be surprised within the next decade these bugs were not affected by alcohol and bleach as the main form of disinfection, then what?
