Thanks Bear...I have a router like that packed away and used maybe a month and paid $145.00 at Best buy a few years back when I lived in Boca. Comcast who was the provider down there told me their router in their box was better and stronger, so I packed it away. I didn't realize their system had a built-in router, so was always buying routers when not needed.
They also said if it goes bad, slows, acts up, which they do, they are replaced for free.
I will first try what they give me because it comes with it BUT, it will be powering 2 computers, 2 phones 2 printers and then the Sling for at least 2-3 tv's on at once, and shall see if it keeps up across the house...I don't mind spending for a really strong even a commercial router if it's fast. Performace and being reliable is more important.
I will keep you posted with the Sling, which is probably the way I am leaning right now. I am supposed to close on the 2nd, so all will have to be after that. |
