Woke up this morning to very, very strong winds (gusts over 70 mph) and reports of a fire ("Silverado Canyon") about 10 - 15 miles from me - and coming this way...
On my way to a morning appointment earlier, I got an emergency alert on my phone. I was at a red light right at the corner where the mandatory evacuation area ends (about .5 miles from home). That's wayyy too close for comfort! The area being evacuated (Orchard Hills part of Irvine, with ~60K residents) is within my coverage area, somewhere I've been many, many times. Much of it is very new homes. Prayers for anyone living in that part of Irvine!
