I heard today that this year's flu shot is a powerhouse, supposed to offer protection against four different flu strains. They said hospitals are worried about having to deal with flu patients while they're still being slammed with Covid patients. So they're encouraging folks to get the flu shot by the end of October. [They also mentioned again that, like with the Covid vaccine, the flu shot isn't a guarantee that you won't get the flu. It just greatly reduces the chances of getting it and/or getting a serious case.]
Carolyn, were you advised to not get your booster at the same time as your flu shot? I was thinking about getting them out of the way at the same time, but may need to rethink that. |
