I got my flu shot last week - my doc said to wait at least two weeks before getting the Covid booster. Plus he wants me to get the pneumonia shot. And I'm overdue for a Hep-B booster. And then there's the shingles vaccine to think about... My arm will look like a pincushion by the time I'm done.
I'm a child of the polio generation, and I can remember what that was like and how relieved my parents were when a polio vaccine became available. I remember lining up at school to get the shot. I used to have a fear of needles (I suspect that same fear drives SOME anti-vaxxers), but now I just don't like them. I've always trusted the science and will continue to do so, so if the science says that this will protect me, I'm rolling up my sleeve. Everything else is just noise. |
