Another way to get around those prompts and get a live person is enter ####.
I worked for AT&T my entire career. Used to design those prompt trees.
They used to be designed to get you to the correct agent and quickly solve your problem. Now they are designed to delay you until an overworked agent is available.
Customer service is now an oxymoron!
