Seems to me that the more people try to prevent fraud, the more we're all at risk. If so many places where we do business routinely collect people's ID info, it's just that many more places that can be hacked or have info stolen and that many more people who potentially have access to that type of info. It can get to the point of ridiculousness - if it hasn't already. Are all employees at dermatologists' offices (just as an example) getting background checks? I doubt it. Maybe they are at banks because they're handling money all day long, but you get the point...

Oh well...
