As someone who works for the court system, I would say it’s helpful when the notary clearly identifies himself by name, commission number and expiration date, and then identifies the person before them before administering the oath.
Once the oath is administered, there is no need for the notary to stick around. The oath stands.
Now I can’t say for sure about the deposition question, because in Florida the only requirement is for the notary to administer the oath. |
