When I have lowballing companies call me and say they have others who will "gladly" accept their low ball fee suggestions, I simply tell them I have other customers who gladly do pay my fees, in fact, there is one calling now, have a good day .... dial tone.
Their "we only pay $X" line wouldn't work with a mechanic, plumber, or even at the local grocery store. Why so many people fall for it and believe it is a normal business practice that they should operate their business by (by accepting) is beyond me. You should know your business numbers and what you need to charge to make the profit you need to, accepting anything less is a guaranteed way of cutting your own throat and ensuring that you will soon be out of business. jmo |
