She was out of line for stating that. Our fees are our fees. If another person works for $68, not my business, nothing I can control. What I CAN control is what I charge and $68 is not it.
In Louisiana, we have to pass an exam and pay annual fees to the state, etc. so most notaries here are professional but some do take low fees to "get their foot in the door" and some people have no concept of basic business principles such as profit/loss and think "something is better than nothing".
By the way, that line sounds like my ex when I dumped him and he wanted me back, "there are lots of women who would want me". Just saying..... |
