I didn't miss your point. I do understand having an elderly parent that has good/bad days. My dad is almost 90 and lives with me so I know. I suppose then it's easier to have them pre-sign since cert is acknowledgment....okay then don't date the doc. Anyone can write in the date so it can be left blank until the notarization. As long as the receiving agency's requirements don't violate CA notary law, we can only do what they require if the doc is to be accepted. That's just the way it is. These entities don't care about our notary laws. They just want what they want regardless. |
