| I have friends down the road who paid tens of thousands to save their home from foreclosure, and all that happened is the title was clouded and the title company was put on high alert by the FBI Mortgage Fraud unit to "freeze" any activity on the property. My friends still lost their home, but were paid "cash for keys", which of course was taxable and a 1099 issued. |
