| Yes, we are very tax friendly here (except on tourists ). Many people become permanent residents and keep a home here just for that reason. We have low property tax base, sales tax, (based per city/county), no state income taxes, and people can work online to manage their business elsewhere from here. Once you get the FL Drivers License, live here for 6 months and 1 day, you can apply for the homestead exemption on your primary residence, and get the FL discounts for all of the attractions. Many athletes, pro golfers and celebrities have taken residence in FL just for that reason alone. Sad to say for the visitors, as they get taxed heavily, and all falls under the Florida tourism taxes, which makes living here for us very easy. |
