You have plenty of time. Most notaries get the documents the day of the signing, hopefully with a few hours to spare. Sometimes though, it's right up to 2 hours prior to the signing. At that time (2 hours) it is appropriate to inquire as to the status of the docs and via email, not text or phone. Title is very responsive to email and less so to texts, IMHO. Anyway. Inquiring about docs before that time is considered a bit of a no-no. Inquiring a DAY BEFORE is definitely a no-no and you risk looking like a newbie--which we all were/are at some point. If you'd done everything required once you get the phone call and the confirmation email (reaching out to signers, confirming date, time and address, and then informing your client that you have done that), there is not much you can do but wait.
