Correct, Linda. Besides, my observation is these governmental agencies have far bigger fish to fry than tracking down some scamster preying on a bunch of insignificant (to them) notaries. They're probably thinking that any notary stupid enough to fork over $49.99 deserves what they get (nothing). There guys are investigating multimillion $$$ internet fraud, IRA refund scams, etc.
In any case, call me naive (many have), but I don't understand why we can't track down the owners/operators of LNN through their e-mails and especially through their text messages to us. .....? Many savvy notaries here have exposed worse than this bad guy over the years. How come we can't trace the origins of these communications??? I think we should engage the services of ToniK in VA ... didn't she recently get an investigative license for something? Clearly, this is an illegal scam that would qualify for snooping. Or find a good hacker. |
