This is why I support the idea of multiple accounts. One where things are deposited TO. Then those funds are transferred out to an operating account. It safeguards deposited funds. Yes, it could cause an issue if somebody tries to debit funds... but it wouldn't immediately cause an issue to operating funds.
A lot of people do this with Paypal...since paypal is notorious for pulling money when it shouldn't.
I have an account like this. Money is direct deposited to the account, and my bank has standing orders to automatically withdrawn and transfer the funds to another account. I never even have to do it myself, it's just happens automatically. |
