I see I-9s frequently, almost always from local individuals who are remote employees from some out-of-state company.
I always say I can verify IDs and sign the form as their company's "authorized representative", but that's it. No notarization, stamp, or the words Notary Public anywhere on the form. Same for the accompanying "certification" form, if it's included.
