but I Do do my Homework. Believe it or not, I reached a Title exec (1 of the Big ones but can't remember); he had been appointed new CEO of xyz Title (?). Thought he'd accept my offer to join the VLTA conference but never heard from him again (I remember speaking to him on the phone and he seemed amenable at the time). I remember I even invited Brenda and the VA notary instructor. Have no idea what I did with the details - but you can best believe I asked pertinent questions. As far as sharing my data here, it was "difficult" to be taken seriously (as there was an aura of suspicion & distaste for newbies). I needed to refocus, take a break & get a new perspective of this side of the industry. Like, you, Michelle (my namesake), I care about what I do (and am good at it); however, I simply don't have the investment many do. I may have felt differently if I'd been able to make a living as an nsa (the long timers, it seems are more resilient and have the patience of Job  |
