Can you print the data pages from the printer? The printer doesn’t need to be working with your PC to print those pages. The printer definition will be on those sheets.
You’re probably correct that tech support set up your printer. That being said, all things are not equal in printer installations. It makes a difference how the printer is defined in the set up: is it a ‘network’ printer, or a ‘stand alone’?
A stand alone will accept the driver, and is usually automatically detected when the computer starts.
A network printer will have the equivalence to an IP address on the network; it looks something like this: 5.8.2008. If it is a network printer, the first task is to find the ‘IP’ or ‘address’ of the printer. The next step it to enter the ‘address’ into the printer setup. Sorry, I can’t do it either or I would help you.
I’m just guessing, but that may be the reason you used tech support when the printer was first installed.
