Sometimes when people travel or out of their own privacy, they ask us to provide a witness. I charge $25.00 and have taken my son when this has come up. They cannot expect you to do it for free or less than that. It is the borrowers responsibility, or sign at a place where "they, the borrower" can find someone like a local bank branch they have an account with or restaurant perhaps where they can solicit a stranger to do this. Very awkward situation.
