week before last had the roof repaired and inspected. $220. Last week the bathroom sink started draining slow....and the other sink in there started filling up with black water. $198 today. And, when we get around to it.....sewer line needs to be replaced $1200. Not today. Ain't life grand?
Went to Culver City for a signing last night....swore if I ran into protesters I was going to run them over. NOT. Anyway, circled the people's address for a good 20 minutes trying to find parking. Finally, had to ask them to meet me at a Starbucks down the street. Lady did not want to come there as she did not want to leave her dog home alone. REALLY? Ended up having to sit outside and sign at Starbucks as the dog had to come along. Not too cold, but, really?
Right up there with last week's Girl Scout adventure. We're signing....doorbell rings....woman goes to door....and we stop signing for 10 minutes while the four people ooh and ahh and buy Girl Scout cookies. I was so annoyed. I did speak up and ask them to come back to the table and they all looked at me like I was an evil monster because they stopped to buy Girl Scout cookies.
Perhaps, I'm a little cranky today. Going to put my happy face on and go do a signing.
And, yes, Valentine's Day is dinner at home tonight.
