That's a very good question!! The rating system is the result of input from individual notaries on this forum and it seems that everyone has a different set of standards. Some feel that getting paid quickly is the most important thing regardless of how much they pay. Conversely, others don't care how long it takes, as long as it's a good fee - and again, everyone has a different idea of what that would be. I suspect most fall somewhere in the middle.
That's the reason why so many of us encourage going beyond the number of stars to read the comments, not only in SC, but also posted here in this forum. [And, BTW, either linking posts related to specific companies or putting their name (as cstaat/ca has done) in the subject line, makes those comments much easier to find in a search.]
