I don't think I stated anywhere that you should throw away your income. You've chosen your path and you missed the point of my post.
Why do some title companies and SS's require you have the XYZ cert (a complete joke) and the BGC (which you can acquire from other entities) from XYZ???? Only because they bought into the marketing strategy and for no other reason.
I've not been asked by ANYONE that I've worked with over the past 16 years to provide a certification. Not 1. They're useless unless you are starting out and need the education.
And the BGC? Why do some accept Sterling, others accept NR and others don't ask at all? Evidently it's not a rule or regulation industry wide.
XYZ screws people over but most just look the other way, and now it's SD. Seems like everyone is making money off the signing agents.
How you run your business is how you run your business, not for me to say. I'm just letting you know my opinion as to what I think about this profession being constantly dumped on and what contributes to the end result of low fees.
