Sometimes it evens out. Stop -n-Go traffic wreaks havoc on the car; traffic POLLUTION, roadside lawn crews, "substance" abusers, etc. requires use of more a/c even on nice days/nights. Even local travel can be a hassle; can't say how many times city mowers douse their regurgitated remains at downed windows during warm season Or the brake jobs I've had . . . then between 3-6 pm some roads barely passable.
Those on the prairie have unique challenges; by the time they've hitched up the "horses" and driven out to the boonies they never know what they'll find up in the mountains/hills; but they just may be more Sane on the avg if only having to encounter 3 traffic intersections vs. 23! Not to mention more likely to visit a more grateful host (hopefully).
Honestly, it's my SQ (Sanity Quotient) that drives the assignments I take. I don't enjoy driving enough to do 50+ mi RT for ONE signing (what if you have to go back?!). Realistically, that's a question one would have to take on when deciding how much to charge or how much mobile notary is Too much. Is this assignment worth 50 miles of my vehicle's auto life? If everyone is winning Except for the notary, something somewhere isn't working. |
