Part of our job as an independent contractor is extending credit to SS and Title companies on good faith; typically 30 days from closing date to get paid. Unfortunately, we are not appraisers who work that way and collect up front or out a hold on a CC number until they are paid. Our industry just doesn't work that way. You may request that, but nobody will accommodate you.
We get paid from a SS or title company directly, not individuals. It is imperative in our business you research each and every company in Signing Central before you accept any closing. It's truly a leap of faith, and they fail to explain that to people getting into this business. I believe we are the only business who fights to get paid more than any other.
In this industry, what we make this month, gets paid next month, so initially you are working the first 30 days with nothing coming in much. Hope that helps. You can request pay pal, but usually they will move onto the next NSA.
