I wanted to add...we are extending credit to all these companies we work for. WE have to do our due-diligence in approving them, no different than when you apply for a CC or a loan. You can never just call an electrician, go to a vet or Dr.'s office, even hire a babysitter and get the service today, and just say I'll be back and pay you in 30 days. They'd laugh you right out the door. Never happens except in this business, and that is why you need to prepare yourself.
The only resource we have to vet these companies is Signing Central and using the orange search button to see who we deal with. If you fail to do your part on 2 closings, it's sort of on you, and everyone else on that list who also had to learn the hard way by failing to do their homework. If NSA"s would do this and stop accepting work, these companies would go out of business because no one will work for them.
I am 12+ years in this business, and have been stiffed a few times as well as most everyone, so not preaching. If you read the comments, you can learn from others before you to avoid the deadbeats. jmo |
