I really enjoy taking deeds for recording. Because recording is difficult in many court houses, companies are surprised when I say I'll take them to recording. In my county I am about 5 min from the court house. The clerks record while you wait (a 5 to maybe 10 min processes).
I quote a nice fee. The best arrangement lately was a sale/purchase followed by recording. They overnighted the checks for the recording and my check for my fee (2 parts one for the signing and one fee for recording. After the recoding I sent them a copy of the court house receipt showing the docs were recorded so they could fund. All they asked was for me to send an invoice later.
The clerks are great to deal with. |
