That's all I have to say about THAT. (Well, maybe not . . . )
Last month I had a gnw client balk at a service/travel fee increase because his soon-to-be ex-wife was in rehab without her ID. I guess he was okay with the orig fee I quoted him when on My time. He asked if I could come later after 5 when son brought woman's DL. Well, okay but I'm further away and thus the higher fee to wait around during rush hour - and get delayed even further. He found another notary on the list (great, I could get back home). There's this concept cycling around that a notary's Time means nothing.
As for $25, 5 is the max in VA per an ACT (stamp), so as long as I'm out . . .
One doc, no print, no courier and free dinner is what it's worth to me (Of course, it didn't say if notary was expected to bring the document needing to be notarized for the "closing.") |
