We want to take this opportunity to clarify a couple things as there seems to be a little confusion.
When a notary signs up with DocVerify to become a VA e-notary, we at this time are including the state required digital certificate with every new notary setup for free during our introductory period. Most certificate providers are charging about $50 to $100 per year for the certs, but we include a 5 year cert at no cost with every new notary application in order to help notaries get started as we lose money with each application.
Additionally, we have tools that allow you to send documents to the state with your own certificates attached as well as allowing notaries to purchase the required certificates from our website at significant discounts.
We have made it super easy to acquire the certificates easily from the certificate providers through our portal, and we have also made them super affordable. Our goal has always been to do our best to help notaries succeed because when the notaries succeed we succeed. |
