In CA Licensed Daycare providers are only fingerprinted once, & anything that they do illegally in the future is automatically reported to state licensing. NowI read an article about how certain state workers are going to be fingerprinted & back round checked & that they too only have to be fingerprinted once & any law breaking they do in the future will be automatically reported. My question is, why do we have to repeatedly pay for fingerprinting & back round checks? Why can't it be set up for us the same way? It doesn't cost any more for the initial time for them than it costs for each & every time for us.
My other concern is why hasn't the state been doing these back round checks on these people in the first place- departments such as Franchise tax board, DMV, etc. Those people all having access to sensitive information. |
