Back in the day when things were much busier in the industry overall, it wasn't unusual for broker disclosures to get tacked onto the closing docs. Frequently, that meant that the borrowers just didn't follow directions to get them signed in advance and returned. In fact, I remember many times even seeing instructions to have them dated a different date than the date of the signing. (There was nothing to notarize in those pages.) They would frequently include previous versions of the 1003, TIL, etc. (prior to implementation of the CD).
I haven't run into that in a long time, but that could simply be the luck of the draw. Not surprising if that's happening again. |
