It's the same situation in VT: no seal is required, but many notaries have them for documents going out of state. Notaries may act throughout the state (and even out of state, for deeds and real estate POAs on VT properties). I used to have my county on my seal, and would sometimes notarize in other counties. Never heard a complaint about it. I presume people who saw the notarizations guessed (correctly) that my notary commission was filed in Rutland County but I was acting in a different county. |
