As Lucky said, for real estate packages, we charge by the assignment. Before giving a quote for your fee, may I suggest you ask pertinent questions -- i.e. type of transaction, location of signing, how many signers, any special instructions, etc. Keep in mind that you're typically printing 2 sets of documents. So, your costs (paper, toner, etc) go up when printing large packages.
1. Type of transaction: refinances and purchases are typically 150 or less pages. Reverse mortgage involves seniors who may need additional time. E-signings require additional equipment.
2. Location of signing: do you have to travel more than 30 minutes to get to signing; are there tolls involved; if at commercial site, what's the parking situation; are you having to drive through snow storm, flooding, fires?
3. Signers: the more signers involved, the larger the package and the more time spent at signing.
4. Special instructions: are they requiring scanbacks or hand-delivery to title, etc?
Your fee is all-inclusive but should take into consideration many variables. Price yourself accordingly. Good luck!
