| No, he didn't have it. Apparently, the sister is the caretaker of the ID and shot him the picture to his phone. He kept saying sorry, and I said I was sorry, too, that we couldn't get this done, and there was a lot of sorry to go around. He said he'd call back, but I haven't heard. Not sure where sister lives. I just kept envisioning my notarizing Dad's signature on two of the most important docs of his life: creating a trust with son as trustee and then durable POA (from the bank) giving son access to every drop of Dad's money, etc., and I decided if was OK to use a picture on a phone of a copy of an ID or whatever to identify Dad. Ouch. |
